Why Java ?

Why Now ?

Java is the most populated island on Earth, and its rivers are the "arteries" of the global plastic crisis.

Most of the plastic in our oceans starts right here. To stop the leak, we have to go to the source. By running through every major city, industrial zone, and rural community, we are:

  • Mapping the Crisis: Providing ground-level information on where to install our next network of trash barriers.
  • Mobilizing Communities: Meeting with local leaders and government officials to prove that clean rivers are possible.
  • Scaling the Solution: Every dollar raised directly funds new barrier installations and the expansion of our sorting infrastructure in Java.
